I am an artist.
 

Besides that, I can tell you

of the white streak in my dark hair,

of poetry I have read,

or of the new snow on Mt. Baldy,

and that today the leaves

of my small persimmon tree

by their complete absence

revealed two orange orbs

which in their heaviness

bend a slender branch

so that the earth 

is now

closer to the sky.
